The first winner of Queen of the Universe ˗ an international reality show by the same producers of RuPaul`s Drag Race ˗ is Brazilian and is part of SB Music! Grag Queen, a 26 year-old singer from Canela (RS), has shown the world her talent and versatility and was voted queen of drags! She earned US$ 250 thousand in the program’s final,produced in the United States and broadcast in Brazil on January 13.

Iam sure my family and my country are proud of me,” said Grag Queen in celebration as she received the title of Queen of the Universe. “I have to mention the wonderful opportunity of meeting the most talented and inspiring drag queens in the whole world along this journey. Congratulations to all of you.”
In the musical competition among 14 queens from 10 countries, Grag Queen won over contestants from Mexico, Denmark, Australia, Canada, England, France, China, and India, as well as two finalists from the United States. An SB Music talent, Grag Queen has recorded in November 2021 her EP, “Desperta”, with five tracks, available on digital platforms. In June she released with the record company her debut hit, “Bota Fé”, which has had close to half a million views in YouTube and streams on Spotify. For 2022, the artist is preparing her first album. “This album will certainly come to communicate with all peoples. There is an unexpected mix of languages, rhythms and a lot of ‘didiridau’,” she laughs. “I can’t wait for you to have access to this, which is so special to me and to all those who were part of this journey,” Grag declares.
Grag Queen, which is the stage name of Grégory Mohd, was born in Canela (RS), Brazil, on June 29, 1995. She graduated from Escola das Artes do Natal Luz de Gramado in Theater and Vocal Technique in 2009 and 2010.
Before starting her career as a drag queen, she participated in the event “Natal Luz de Gramado”, in 2009 and 2011, in the shows “The Great Christmas Parade” and “Act of Christmas”. In 2009, she was also part of of Xuxa’s Christmas Special. She worked at Chocofest Gramado from 2010 to 2012 and in 2010 she worked at the Christmas
Parade and Santa Claus coming in Canela’s Christmas Dream.
In 2014, she traveled to New York and studied in Broadway-licensed schools, in a Winter Music School taught by former and current singers from the main North-American musicals. For four years, she was a protagonist at the musical “Korvatunturi”. She was also part of the show “Bellepoque”, in Gramado, where she sang burlesque
classics in 2015 and 2016, and was a singer at the Drag Queen duo “Armário de Saia”.
